The 2 pictures below, were taken before the flood of June 2006. These are for comparison. Note the water line. The trees are well above the water.
These pictures were take July 2, 2006, about 4 days after the high water. The mark on the tower is 1423 feet and you could see by water lines in the pictue on the dam and the tower, it was about 20 feet higher. If you have ever been in the upper parking lot, there is a concrete wall which is the spillway of the dam. The water reached this concrete wall.
